1. Purpose

The kit is designed for extracorporeal sampling, circulation, separation and collection of peripheral blood components of the donor (platelets, plasma, red blood cells — depending on the protocol of the procedure).

2. Venipuncture needle

• Type: Disposable, sterile
• Caliber: 16G
• Outer diameter: approximately 1.65mm
• Material: Medical grade stainless steel
• Connection type: integrated into the backbone, compatible with the Trim Accel system
• Purpose: venous access of the donor

3. The backbone system

• Tube material: medical biocompatible polymer (PVC without pyrogens)
