1. Purpose

The T-PAS+ additive solution is intended for use in the preparation and storage of platelet concentrates. It is used to replace part of the plasma in order to improve the quality of platelet storage and maintain their functional activity.


2. Scope of application

  • blood services;
  • transfusion departments;
  • centers for the procurement and processing of blood components;
  • automated platelet apheresis and processing systems.

3. Compatibility

  • compatible with containers and platelet lines made of medical PVC;
  • It is used in procedures of apheresis and subsequent platelet treatment;
  • It can be used in automated systems for harvesting Terumo blood components.

4. The composition of the solution

An aqueous isotonic electrolyte solution containing:

  • sodium chloride;
  • sodium acetate;
  • sodium phosphate;
  • sodium citrate;
  • magnesium (in the form of salt).

The solution does not contain proteins, preservatives and antimicrobial additives.
