1. Purpose

The kit is designed for the treatment of donor plasma by photochemical inactivation of pathogens using riboflavin (vitamin B2) and ultraviolet radiation, in order to reduce the risk of transmission of viruses, bacteria and parasites during transfusion.

The disposable kit includes:

  • container (bag) for plasma treatment;
  • container with riboflavin solution;
  • the system of connecting highways;

  • clamps for flow control.
