Introduction of modern technologies in the blood service center
A specialized event was held at the blood service center on the issues of step-by-step automation of the processes of harvesting and processing blood components. The meeting focused on modern technological solutions aimed at improving the efficiency, safety and standardization of the blood service.
During the event, the Reveos automated blood processing system from Terumo BCT, designed for integrated and fully automated separation of whole blood into components, was presented in detail. The participants were shown the key capabilities of the equipment, including reducing the influence of the human factor, increasing reproducibility of results, optimizing staff working hours and improving the quality of blood components obtained.
It was noted separately that the introduction of such automated solutions is an important step in the development of the national blood service, meets modern international standards and helps to increase the readiness of medical institutions to meet the therapeutic and transfusiological needs of the population.
The event was part of a systematic effort to modernize the material and technical base of the blood service and introduce advanced technologies aimed at the sustainable development of the industry, improving the quality of medical care and expanding the possibilities of clinical use of blood components.
